MiniDrill Solo

• Capacity: 400 l

• This further component is applied via deflector plates on the surface of the field.

• In this case, you can use the MiniDrill to take along microgranular compound, underseeds or slug pellets

• The solo versions of the MiniDrill are equipped with an own fan, an own pneumatic system with a separate distributor tower and baffles

• The baffles are located behind the coulters.

With the MiniDrill solo version, an additional component can be applied comfortably on the field surface - in one single pass. This allows for distributing granules, underseeds, or slug pellets widely behind the seed coulters by means of a deflector plate.

Catching roller

• Due to the parking position, the catching roller can be lifted

Due to the catching roller, the seed is placed perfectly in the seed furrow to create a connection to capillarity. When sowing in very wet conditions, the catching roller can be set to the parking position with one simple step. Thus, it is possible to continue sowing in wet conditions. If working in wet conditions for a longer time, it makes sense to replace the catching roller with the uniformer.

The steel closing wheel is ideal for wet and changing conditions. Even with a lot of organic material, the closing wheel works reliably – a real all-rounder among the closing wheels. In special conditions, the angle of the closing wheel can be adjusted to achieve a perfect result.

The steel star roller is ideal for dry soils. The star profile produces fine soil. It covers the seed and closes the seed furrow. For special conditions, the angle of the star roller can be adjusted to achieve a perfect result.

Uniformer

Due to the Uniformer, the seed is pressed in to the seed furrow. This principle is already known from the TurboDisc seed coulters of the Pronto. The Uniformer is also ideal for green catch crops.

AutoForce

• Stony soils require more coulter pressure to place the seed at a consistent depth. If the coulter pressure is too low the coulter body would not move smoothly and the seed would germinate irregularly and with different speed.

• Light conditions or pressure-sensitive soils need less coulter pressure so that the soil is not compacted. Too much coulter pressure compacts the soil and slows down the development of the roots although all seed was placed at the same depth.

• There rarely are fields that are completely even. In every part of the field the coulter pressure has to be adapted.

• This is why HORSCH developed an automatic coulter pressure regulation system.

AutoForce ensures uniform seed emergence by automatically maintaining a pre-set contact pressure (35–110 kg) regardless of soil variability. Using sensors at the depth control roll, the system redistributes machine weight in real-time to prevent shallow placement or over-compaction, guaranteeing consistent embedding at the ideal depth.

Hairpining is a well-known term in no-till farming. But what does it mean? The effect when straw residues or organic residues are pressed into the seed furrow is called hairpinning. This can become a problem if the seed is placed on the straw residues or organic residues as the connection to the capillaries of the soil is interrupted. Trash wheels can be used to prevent this.
