The HORSCH tyre packer ensures a targeted and even levelling and consolidation in front of every seed coulter The tyres are arranged in one line. Thus, clearance is optimum even on light soils. The HORSCH TurboDisc double disc coulter ensures rapid, uniform emergence by maintaining precise seed-to-soil contact at speeds up to 20 km/h. Its press wheel-controlled design follows soil contours independently of pressure settings, while an integrated **Uniformer** secures each seed at the furrow's base. Featuring maintenance-free rubber bearings that provide up to 125 kg of pressure and stone protection, the system also utilizes carbide-coated scrapers to prevent clogging in wet conditions, guaranteeing consistent placement depth across various terrains.

HORSCH metering systems offer maximum flexibility through a range of interchangeable rotors tailored to specific seed rates, speeds, and machine configurations. For drills with double drop tubes, specialized rotors enable precise distribution and half-width shut-off, while an integrated valve system allows for quick rotor swaps without emptying the hopper. To ensure accuracy, HORSCH provides a rotor selection server for guidance, though a calibration test is always recommended to guarantee an optimum seed rate across the entire working width.

Double hopper Grain & Fertiliser

• Both components are metered separately and are transported together via the distribution tower or the distribution towers into the seed coulter.

• The G&F double hopper system allows for the simultaneous application of seed and fertiliser as contact fertilisation.

• The fertiliser is immediately available to the young plant and thus contributes to a quick early growth. This system should only be used in appropriate climatic conditions and with the assistance of a crop production consultant.

• Not only seed and fertiliser, but also 2 different seeds can be transported, metered and sown separately.

PPF-system

• Allows for applying 2 components in 2 horizons at the same time

Oil cooler

• Heats up the airflow in the pneumatic system

The optional oil cooler at the hydraulic fan heats up the air flow in the pneumatic system. This lowers the oil temperature in the system and relieves the tractor's oil cooler. Another very important advantage is that it maintains the flowability of the fertiliser in wet conditions, e.g. dew in the evening.

The smallest possible track depths of the tractor in the seedbed ensure good plant populations and contribute to the low horsepower requirement of the Pronto. The tyre packer that can be mounted additionally takes the weight of the machine, relieves the rear axle of the tractor and additionally levels the surface. This guarantees that the disc harrow can work more shallowly and this saves tractive power and fuel.

Fertiliser and seed flow control

The fertiliser and seed flow control is a reasonable electronic solution to prevent sowing errors. The sensors control the flow directly behind the distribution tower and detect blockages. Thus, the individual pneumatic hoses are monitored and within seconds you get a notification in the terminal – both acoustic and visual.

Spelt pneumatics

• Optimised pneumatic hosing for seeds with husks

• chamfered seed flow tubes prevent the husks from getting wedged

• Optional seed flow sensors support the prevention of gaps

Sowing spelt with husks always is a challenge for farmers. HORSCH developed a special pneumatic adaption for this crop which has been optimised over several years. To make sure that the spelt with husk does not wedge and cause blockings, all corners and edges in the pneumatic system are checked and rough edges are removed. For example, the seed tubes at the seed coulters are chamfered and the seed hoses are directly attached to the coulters with cable ties. The seed flow sensors that are recommended for sowing spelt are also chamfered. Thus, spelt can be transported smoothly through the pneumatics and gaps are prevented.

Hydraulic coulter pressure increase TurboDisc coulters

Due to the option of a hydraulic coulter pressure increase, the coulter pressure can be increased in the tractor cabin via a tractor control device when sowing in uneven soil conditions. The important feature is the easy handling of the system as from a plant production point of view an even emergence is the prerequisite for the customised and safe management of crop populations. If the coulter pressure is too high, compaction in the area of the seed furrow is increased. This has a negative influence on the development of the first germination roots. If the coulter pressure is too low, however, the sowing depth may vary.

• For rotary harrows or disc harrow systems, a shallower cultivation depth is possible

The spring-loaded track eradicator tines allow for loosening the soil in the tractor track. They can be fixed without any tools with a bolt in a hole system. For seedbed preparation the working tool can be adjusted more shallowly as the tracks that have to be eliminated have already been loosened. The tines are suitable for mulch seed only to a limited extent as they may be prone to clogging in case of high amounts of harvest residues.

1-row Crossbar behind the DiscSystem

• The hydraulically adjustable 1-row crossbar directly behind the DiscSystem is the ideal solution on medium and heavy soils.

• It is placed between the DiscSystem and the tyre packer and the aggressiveness can be adjusted steplessly hydraulically.

• After a rough cultivation, this option may improve the production of fine soil.

• Thus, an even more even consolidation can be achieved.

The hydraulically adjustable 1-row Crossbar is the ideal solution on medium and heavy soils after rough cultivation. This option can improve seedbed preparation due to an optimised production of fine soil. This also ensures a more even consolidation.

1-row harrow behind the DiscSystem

• The 1-row harrow breaks the earth flow created by the DiscSystem and thus supports crumbling and levelling in front of the packer. Recommended on light soils.

• It is placed between the DiscSystem and the tyre packer. The adjustment is carried out mechanically via a hole pattern.

Bout marker

• Automatic, electro-hydraulic control

• In normal operation, the machine is automatically controlled when lifting/lowering.

• Additional weights allow for marking the track in most difficult conditions.

• In transport position, the bout markers are secured by lock valves.

The hydraulic bout markers allow for driving track-on- track while seeding. Additional weights on the disc blades can help to mark the surface in difficult conditions.
