AIRVAC AND AIRSPEED
AIRVAC AND AIRSPEED – VERSATILE – PRECISE – EFFICIENT
The new AirVac and AirSpeed metering device generations share a similar design and singulation principle, using interchangeable metering discs to reliably singulate maize, sunflowers, sugarbeet, soybeans, sorghum, and canola without adjustment when switching crops. AirVac uses vacuum to draw seed to a perforated disc and delivers it via a fall tube into the furrow, while AirSpeed uses overpressure to press seed to the disc, then shoots it through a pipe into the soil using an air current—both aided by a catching roller. A shared, optimized singulator removes duplicates in either system, and a grain sensor in the fall/shoot pipe monitors spacing, doubles, and gaps, displaying singulation accuracy on the machine terminal for added sowing safety.
Both generations are driven electrically as standard, with individual row control supporting single row switch-off, SectionControl, VariableRate, and tramline control. This allows seed rate to be adjusted per row, including independently on the left and right sides of the tramline, maximizing precision while sowing.
What are the excelling features of the new metering devices?
- Electrically driven as a standard
- Can be universally used for precise grain singulation and the most different crops
- Metering of maize, sunflowers, sugar beets and soya
- Simple handling: the scraper does not have to be adjusted
- Seed monitoring via grain sensor: information about the singulation accuracy
- Individual control of every row: individual row switch off, SectionControl, VariableRate, tramline switching
